Not
so many successful stars from the 70s could make it through the next two
decades. In fact, many of those famous superstars of the 70s shows,
never succeeded in another hit series, and Lynda Carter wasn't the
exception. Nevertheless many of those stars found their way starring
in made-for-TV
movies, which
seemed to be the only way to keep up their careers. This time around,
Lynda wasn't the exception either. Her Wonder
Woman afterlife
was mainly based first on her TV
variety specials,
and then on telefilms.
Though her filmography was not precisely prolific, it helped Lynda to
keep her name familiar. Undoubtedly it proved to be the only vehicle
left for her, specially if we consider that her two series after
Wonder Woman were a flop. Some of her first telefilms were
produced by her -then- hubby Ron Samuels, later on she even produced one
of her films under her Lynda Carter Productions company. Recently she
had another try with the big screen. |
