In a very expensive Washington, D.C. hotel, an
attractive, nicely dressed woman is shown her room by the bell captain. As
he leaves, she removes a gun from her vanity case. She then removes a manila
envelope from behind a picture frame and takes out several pictures. They
are head shots of I.A.D.C. agents -among them Diana Prince
[LYNDA CARTER]
and Steve Trevor Jr. [LYLE WAGGONER]. She walks to a mirror and after admiring
herself, she removes earrings, her eyelashes, eye makeup, lipstick and wig.
The she is a he and his name is Starker
[CHARLES PIERCE], a hired assassin.
The phone rings and he tells the caller that he will only carry out his
assignment if Diana Prince is killed. |
|
While riding through a park to an arranged
meeting, Diana is being followed by two men, also on horses. She notices them
and rides away quickly then dismounts. She whirls into Wonder Woman and
instructs the horses in the way only Wonder Woman can to throw the men
off. She sees a gunman in the tree above her and shakes the tree
trunk, he
falls from the tree and she catches him. The two men run away but she takes
the gun from the gunman, and splits it down the middle then bends it around
his body. She asks him why he was trying to kill Diana Prince and he tells
her it was for money. After turning him over to the police Diana reports to
Steve and tells him about her experience and what Wonder Woman was able to
find out by using her lasso. The gunman,
Plotkin
[JACK KISSELL] was hired to
kill Diana. While going through his personal effects Steve only finds one
clue, a telegram from a person with the initials W.N. |

|
Diana leaves to prepare for her
assignment, to
protect Carlo Indrezzano
[GEORGE CHAKIRIS]. In the meantime,
Krug
[ARTHUR BATANIDES] and a
hit man from St. Louis, Beamer
[CHRISTOPHER CARY] visit Nightingale at his
cabin. They enter a broken-down shack, rug pulls a lightbulb, a door slides
open and he leads Beamer through the doorway into a modern elevator. A few
floors down, the doors slide open and they walk down a few corridors until
they reach another door which slides open to reveal an elegant
apartment. They are greeted by Violet a former hit-person now a reluctant
secretary, she tells them to go through. The room they enter is filled with
weapons of execution and pictures of Nightingale's victims, one picture frame
is empty. Nightingale is waiting for them with the question of why Diana
Prince has not been taken care of as yet. Krug promises she will be out of
the way by tomorrow evening. By tomorrow evening Starker will be able to go
after Carlo. |
|
Disguised as carpet repair men they arrive at
the restaurant where Diana is to meet Carlo later that day. They claim that
they have been called to repair the carpet and cut away the carpet below the
public telephone. They create a secret trapdoor and replace the carpet. Then
return to their van. Carlo, definitely a ladies' man, is delightfully
surprised and pleased to see Diana. He has never seen a bodyguard look like
that. |
|
|
Diana, trying to avoid Carlo's advances,
spills coffee on her lap. She excuses herself and goes to the ladies' room.
The maitre 'd approaches the table saying there is a phone call for Miss
Prince. Carlo takes the call and as he enters the phone booth, a trap door
opens and Carlo drops into a trash chute. Krug and Beamer grab him and when
they see it is not Diana they decide to keep Carlo anyway and use him as
bait. Diana returns and immediately realizes what has happened. She rushes
out, whirls into Wonder Woman and starts after the van. She leaps in front of
the van and stops it from moving forward. Krug throws the van into reverse
and as he speeds off, Beamer throws Carlo out of the van. Wonder Woman runs
over to Carlo and frees him. |

•
Wonder Woman:
Are you alright? |
|
•
Indrezzano:
What happened? |
|
•
Wonder Woman:
Let's just say that we just cheated
the jaws of death out of a meal. |
|
•
Indrezzano:
You mean you saved me? |
|
•
Wonder Woman:
Yes. |
|
•
Indrezzano:
That's impossible, it's ridiculous, you're a woman! |
|
•
Wonder Woman:
I have been told that once or
twice... |
|
As this is happening Nightingale calls Starker
for a situation report. Starker still wants Diana Prince killed. Nightingale
says that she will be dead within the hour. Starker is unconvinced but asks
Nightingale for further details regarding his assignment. He is told to call
back at 3:30,when the information will be available. |
|
At 3:30 Starker calls Nightingale and is told
that Major Anita Finley
[CAROL WORTHINGTON] has just been assigned to IADC
and she is to report immediately, but that Starker must take her place. |
|
Back at the IADC Steve and
Eve
[SAUNDRA
SHARP]
find out from IRAC that Carlo's associate Marius Macropolis might
actually be one of his biggest threats because of his ruthless business
tactics but they believe that he lacks any motive, that he would have nothing
to gain from Carlo's death. |
|
Starker intercepts the Major as she drives
into her new parking spot. He kidnaps her, dresses as a woman and Starker,
who is now Major Finley, reports to Steve Trevor. Starker is a master of
disguise. |
|
Meanwhile Diana finally gets rid of Carlo by
promising to meet him the following day, at 9:45am,at her office and she
enters her apartment, leaving Carlo with her replacement, a male agent. |
|
Alone in Finley's office, Starker assembles a
welding gun out of a hairdryer and various other objects and begins to melt
the metal grate that leads from his office in the air conditioning
duct. Alone in the building that evening, Starker, now minus wig, inches
along a duct carrying a lethal-looking bomb. His destination is to the
computer room. He reaches it and pries open the grate and looks down into
the room below. He sees IRAC and after replacing the grate he begins to work
on the bomb. |
|
That evening, in her darkened bedroom, Diana
hears a noise and runs to the closet. A door opens and Krug and Beamer
enter. They fire their guns toward the bed and as they leave, Diana, now
Wonder Woman as she has changed in the closet, returns to her bed to see
bullet-riddled pillows and blankets. She jumps off her balcony and lands on
top of their speeding van. She finds herself in front of the cabin. She uses
her lasso to catch Krug and Beamer. She asks them how she can get to
Nightingale then places them in the bucket of a digger which she raises high
into the air and tells them that they will remain immobile until the police
arrive. She enters the cabin and with her fingertips pries apart the
stainless steel doors and comes face to face with Violet who pulls out her
gun. Wonder Woman grabs her wrist and she drops it. Nightingale joins them and
invites her into his room. |
|
•
Wonder Woman:
Woodward Nightingale, cage and all. |
|
•
Nightingale:
What you've left of it. Please come
in, we'll have a chat. |
|
•
Wonder Woman:
There's really nothing to chat
about. I'm afraid you've drawn up your last contract Nightingale. |
|
•
Nightingale:
What a pity. My brilliant career over
just like that. |
|
•
Wonder Woman:
You should've ended that career
when you were laid off your job as executioner. |
|
•
Nightingale:
And let all that knowledge go to
waste? Why that would've been criminal. |
|
•
Wonder Woman:
Just tell me who the latest person
is scheduled for demolition. |
|
•
Nightingale:
All in good time Wonder Woman. A
picture of that unfortunate person will grace that empty frame. |
|
•
Wonder Woman:
I'm not really interested in your
gallery of victims. |
|
•
Nightingale: Ah but you should be interested in
this one. It is, has, for quite some time been intended for...you |
|
Wonder Woman notices the
miniature cannon aimed
squarely at her. Nightingale fires and Wonder Woman catches the tiny, yet
deadly, cannon ball. After confronting him about his reasons for wanting
Carlo killed, he admits that his secretary made the mistake of spelling IRAC
backwards and it came out CARI. He wants IRAC destroyed because the computer
knows too much about a scheme to destroy Carlo by one of his
associates...Marius. She ties Nightingale and Violet up, and rushes to the
save IRAC, with only a few minutes to travel over forty miles. |
|
With all her Wonder Woman speed, she reaches
the IADC and warns Steve and everyone to clear the building. With blinding
speed she enters the computer room and hears a ticking. She looks in every
direction and as the ticking grows louder, she sees it is coming from the
grating above her. She leaps up toward the ceiling, breaks through the grating
and grabs the bomb. She lands, then removes the timing device and the ticking
stops. Wonder Woman has saved IRAC. She then captures Starker, the real Major
Finley is found and Carlo's associate is put behind bars along with
Nightingale. |
