Hanna-Barbera closed the 13-year run saga of the Super Friends with pretty much decency in the way of "The Super Powers Team: Galactic Guardians," since this final act is considered among the finest adaptation along with "Challenge Of The Super Friends." Continuing with the previous season Power Team line-up plus the addition of teen hero Cyborg.
Alex Toth and his chacateristic creations were gone to use José Luis García López designs from the DC Comics style and character guide. The Super Powers Team consisted of Superman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Batman and Robin, Firestorm, newly-added teen member Cyborg, with brief appearances by Green Lantern, Hawkman, Samurai and The Flash. Gone were all characters specially created by Hanna-Barbera for the series, that's ethnics superheroes Apache Chief, Black Vulcan and El Dorado, with the exception of Samurai, God knows why. After 11 seasons gone were also the Wonder Twins [Exxorian super-hero trainess Zan and Jayna] and the unbearable space-money Gleek.
Originally a member of the "Teen Titans" in the comics, Cyborg is Victor Stone, a gymnastic star who loses most of his body functions after a fatal accident. His father who is a cybernetic genius turned him into a super-cyborg with a sonic blaster!
Cyborg had a strong presence in the series, virtually appearing on each episode. The stories were more consistent and hich-tech oriented, with a strong emphasis on characters development. Such fines episode as "The Death Of Superman" [where Supie is considered dead] and "The Fear" [which tolds Batman's origins] remains as some of the best in the saga. Darkseid continues being a nemesis for the superfriends and is determined to make Wonder Woman his bride. This time B. J. Ward provides the voice for Wonder Woman and Steve Trevor makes a cameo appearance in one episode. When it comes to villains, The Scarecrow returns and The Joker [disguised as Ace], The Penguin and Felix Faust make their debut on the series.
With ups and downs, Super Friends marked its time with a glorius 13-year network run on ABC from 1973 thru 1986, and it certainly became an eternal classic not only domestically but also around the world.

Darkseid has hijacked the shuttle so he can impersonate Trevor to fool Trevor's friend Diana Prince (Wonder Woman), and substitute a satelite on the shuttle. Darkseid's satelite will send a ray across Earth transforming people into Parademons. When Darkseid kidnaps Wonder Woman, Cyborg has noticed how "Trevor" has an energy field making Batman suspicious, and the Super Powers team heads for Darkseid's planet Apokolips.

Cyborg is forced to fly to Braniac's ship, where Braniac transfers Cyborg's mind into a giant android that is programmed to obey Braniac. Superman and Firestorm manage to reach Cyborg's mind making it transfer back into Cyborg.

The Super Powers team is helpless as Penguin causes a crime wave in Metropolis. Faust, later in a cave hideout, forces Penguin to return and transfer the powers to Faust. The Super Powers team attacks and Firestorm creates kryptonite, while Wonder Woman uses her lasso to force Faust to transfer the powers back to Superman.

Superman died on an alien planet from exposure to kryptonite, before Firestorm could save him. Meanwhile, Batman, Cyborg, and Wonder Woman have gone to Superman's Fortress of Solitet from exposure to kryptonite, before Firestorm could save him.
