Tag Line: "THE MAN WHO COULD MOVE THE WORLD" Air Date: September 30, 1977. A Japanese man named Ishida (Yuki Shimoda) blames Wonder Woman for the death of his parents and brother during World War II, and is seeking vengeance. Having recently developed incredible telekinetic abilities, he is intent on using his powers to extract his revenge from the Amazon Princess in 'The Man Who Could Move the World". "KNOCKOUT" Air Date: October 14, 1977. In "Knockout", Steve Trevor, Jr. and Wonder Woman go up against an organization known as "The Movement", which is determined to change the world by replacing those in key positions of power with their own people. *** Over the years, the two versions of Wonder Woman have certainly gained a mystique about them, growing in popularity as a previous generation introduces their children to the exploits of the woman dressed in red, white and blue. Although she has had a difficult time over the years shaking the image that the show had given her, Lynda Carter nonetheless looks back on it and its popularity quite warmly. "I'd like to think I had something to do with it, but it's a phenomenon unto itself," she related in an amalgamation of previous interviews. "And it's not too bad to be a sort of pop icon, you know? It's not too tough to handle. lOnel day I stopped by the market to pick up a few things, and there were two little girls waiting outside on bicycles. One of them nudged the other and whispered, Look, it's her!' They both stood there like statues. So I put my fingers to my lips like I was in disguise, like Diana Prince, and asked them to keep my real identity a secret. Wonder Woman gave me my start. She was the big hand up that helped me to realize all of my dreams, and all of the things that have happened, subsequently, with my career. I feel extremely lucky to have had the kind of healthy career that I have, especially because of the stereotyping that some actors go through once they are first known as a particular character. Sometimes they are not allowed to grow and be known for other roles. Fortunately, I was allowed to branch off.".
