DESCRIPTION: "THE AMERICAN MUSIC AWARDS" were created by Dick Clark in 1973 to compete with the Grammys after the move of that year's show to Nashville, Tennessee. While the Grammys are awarded based on votes by members of the entertainment industry, the AMAs are determined by a poll of music buyers.

In "THE 7TH ANNUAL AMERICAN MUSIC AWARDS", for the second and last time Lynda was an award presenter along with Marvin Gaye.

EPISODE SYNOPSIS: Lynda was an award presenter once again, this time for "The Annual American Music Awards" presenting the "Best Male Tock/Pop Artist" for the year 1979. The nominees and winner were chosen from a poll made to 30,000 listeners in order to pick up their "favorite" Pop-rock and country performers and recordings. Lynda is shown at the beginning of the show when she's arriving with her husband Ron Samuels, and then presenting the award.
