DESCRIPTION: In summer 1976, CBS television executive Fred Silverman signed the Jackson family (including Michael, Marlon, Tito, Jackie, Randy, Rebbie, LaToya, and Janet) to appear in their own variety show, to compete with ABC's "THE OSMONDS". "THE JACKSONS" debuted on June 16, 1976, and ran on CBS until its cancellation the following March. The show was the first variety show hosted by an African American family.

This is the Lynda's only appearance on the show.

EPISODE SYNOPSIS: The show kicks off with The Jacksons performing "Think Happy", followed by "On The Wall" where Lynda Carter is introduced. Then Lynda is disputed by two of the Jacksons in a Arabian skit. Janet is introduced by Randy and sings "Peppermint Bay". Preceded by two brief skits "Never Can Say Goodbye" follows and then a skit with Tim Thomerson. "Papa Was A Rolling Stone" is performed by The Jacksons funny dressed as fat persons. Tim Thomerson makes a monologue. A brief skit of Lynda and Michael as a spy and an informer precedes and inpersonation of John Denver performing "Country Boy". Next is Lynda Carter performing "Treat Me Like A Lady". The closing numbers are "Living Together" and "I'll Be There" by The Jacksons.
