CBS has offered Lynda to return for another 22 episodes of Wonder Woman. They have many reasons to think that Lynda could be successful with the character again. First, she still receives thousands of letters a year asking for the return of the series. Second, each time Lynda appears on the screen -like in a recent Muppets episode- she has a fantastic response from the audience which reflects in the ratings... And third, the series was one of the fewest that was cancelled by request of the star.

It's interesting to recall that the character of Diana or Wonder Woman comes from a comic strip created by Charles Moulton in 1942. When Warner Bros bought the rights to make a series and made a pilot in 1974 with cathy lee Crosby, it was a failure but insisted with another one on November 7, 1975. And so Wonder Woman the series, was born. She filmed 14 episodes for ABC during the 1976-77 season, and another 26 for CBS during the 1977-78 season. The change of network was worth a million dollars plus a percentage for reruns, sales, etc. The fact is that by the end of 1978 Lynda told her husband Ron Samuels -whom she married in May 1977- that she didn't want to go on with Wonder Woman. And nobody could convince her on the contrary. All she wanted was to sing again, and not long after she made her debut in a fantastic show in las Vegas. Ever since and for a year and a half, she's been singing, making records and posing for publicity.

Lynda, who becomes 26, since she was born on July 24, 1954, is still a stunning beauty  showing her measurements of 38-25-35. Since we're reviewing her career let's recall that she began her career as a singer when she was 16 and after touring the country she became Miss Phoenix in 1973, and then Miss Arizona, Miss World-USA and a runner up in Miss World, beaten by an Australian in London. what do you think about making another season of Wonder Woman? She said: "I like the idea. I know how much I owe the character. But I'm gonna ask for a lot of money and freedom to continue my career as a singer." Let's see how it goes since she knows what she wants.
