 Diana
and Steve go underground and obtain jobs at the Malakan consultate
-Diana as a domestic and Steve as president of the
American/Malakar Cultural Association. Robley, also in the
consulate, is posing as Count Diaz, a distant cousin of the late
prince. The queen refuses to believe this and asks for his true
identity. He 'confesses' that he is an agent with the Inter-Agency
Defense Command and has been assigned to protect her and the royal
jewels. When he queries her on why she brought the jewels out of
her country, he learns that it was Orrick's idea. Also, Orrick has
them hidden in a safe in the queen's suite, rather than the vault.
