Lynda
was among the guests who were invited to the
Kuwaiti Embassy
residence to honor her
friend
Janet Langhart Cohen,
the wife of former Secretary of Defense William
S. Cohen, who had just published an
autobiography,
“From Rage to Reason: My
Life in Two Americas”.
With the likes of Justice Sandra Day O’Connor,
Federal Reserve Board Chairman Alan Greenspan,
Motion Picture Association Chief Jack Valenti,
and Secretary of Transportation, Norman Mineta,
Lynda and her good friend Janet stood side by
side to meet and talk about Janet, who started
out as a poor black girl from the projects of
Indianapolis struggling to build a career in
fashion and journalism, and later became the
wife of a powerful white Republican.
