For
many people in the music industry and music fans alike, the name
Bill Cuomo is synonymous with top-notch musical projects. Since the
1970’s, Cuomo has produced, arranged, and provided his own musical
talents with the biggest names in the business. His discography
reads like a "who’s who" of the world’s biggest musical talents:
Natalie Cole, Kenny Rogers, Dolly Parton, Whitesnake, Little River
Band, Larnelle Harris, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Faith Hill, Kathy Mattea,
Jennifer Holliday, Kim Carnes, Bad Company, Beeb Birtles, Paul Anka,
Alabama, Barbra Streisand, and Olivia Newton-John, just to name a
few. |
|
Cuomo has now
relocated to Nashville, Tennessee. He and Beeb Birtles launched
Sonic Sorbet Records in the summer of 1999. Sonic Sorbet is an
Internet label and production service which gives artists the
opportunity to cut a demo or a full-length project at reasonable
rates. |

Fans of this site will
be even more interested to know about another of Cuomo’s projects.
Yes, Bill Cuomo also worked with our favorite lady, Lynda Carter!
Cuomo not only provided some amazing keyboard work on Lynda’s
Portrait project, but he also co-wrote "Toto (Don’t It Feel Like
Paradise)" with Lynda and Candi Siller. In a 1999 online chat
session, Lynda stated that "Toto" was her favorite song from the
project, and I feel certain that it is a favorite with her fans as
well. |
|
I recently contacted
Mr. Cuomo regarding his work with Lynda, and he was very
complimentary of Lynda and had fond memories of their collaboration:
|
|
"She was always a
blast to hang around and work with, since she really was and is
quite a talented singer. No star ego or any of that, but a
hardworking artist/songwriter with a strong sense of who she wanted
to be as a recording artist. A beauty with talent-now there’s a
novel concept. Really enjoyed my limited time with her. I’m sure
you’ll find everyone who has been involved with her has the same
positive comments. Too bad not all artists are as nice to work with
as Lynda." |
|
Cuomo’s comments echo
the statements of practically all of Lynda’s colleagues and friends.
When asked if he would like to work with Lynda again, Cuomo stated:
|
|
“Sure...if she asked I
would , although I have relocated to Nashville and have been here
14+ years. I doubt she knows I’m here. If you’re reading this,
Lynda, now you know!." |
|
I sincerely hope that
this trip down memory lane will inspire Lynda to return to her
musical roots. Fans are extremely hopeful that she will return to
the recording studio and possibly perform her live shows again. The
fans are behind you! |

I would like to thank
the multi-talented Mr. Bill Cuomo for taking time to discuss his
