Cover Summary: " WONDER WOMAN IN HOLLYWOOD Air Date: February 16, 1977. 'Wonder Woman in Hollywood' marks the return of WW's little sister, Drusilla (Debra Winger), as the two team up to battle a Nazi pretending to be a filmmaker, who has set his sights on several war heroes, among them Major Steve Trevor. THE RETURN OF WONDER WOMAN Air Date: September 16, 1977. 'The Return of Wander Woman' kicked off the series' second season, transporting the Amazon Princess' adventures from the 1940s to the 1970s. In the opener, Steve Trevor, Jr. (Lyle Waggoner) crashes on Paradise Island, where Wonder Woman had returned to live. Intrigued by this apparent double for the man she loved, Wonder Woman brings him back to America and, once again, decides to fight the 'good' fight, this first time out involving a nuclear power plant developed for third-world countries that is being targetted for sabotage. Although The New Adventures of Wonder Woman was popular, the ABC network decided not to renew it for a second weekly season. Seeing a golden opportunity within its reach, CBS decided to pick the show up. They wanted a few changes, however, most notable among them being that the show move from its World War II setting to the 1970s. While some fans missed the use of Nazis as villains, the move to the present was seen as a means of expanding the milieu of the storytelling. Indeed, suddenly the series could utilize modern technology, and heavily feature computers and robots that added a modern comic book and science fiction flavor to the proceedings. "
