EPISODE SYNOPSIS: What is it that tempts the thespian from the dramatic stage to the recording studio? A need to break character, to show another side? Or is it something as simple as wanting to rock? Whatever the reason, sometimes actors take the musical leap, and the results can be interesting. Thrilling. Illuminating. But more often they create "ONE HIT WONDERS". Hosted by pop culture icon William Shatner, the series expands on VH1's successful five-part special 100 Greatest One-Hit Wonders, featuring unforgettable video clips, film footage, photos and performances, plus exclusive new interviews with the artists themselves, as well as celebrities, critics, writers and VH1's own experts. This particular episode features Lynda when she made it as a singer.

TRIVIA:
[•] This was the only "episode" of One Hit Wonders not to be narrated by Jake Robards. It was instead narrated by Paul Kaup.
[•] In addition to hosting this special, William Shatner was also featured in clips and interviews.
[•] Contrary to the basis of One Hit Wonders, most of these "artists" didn't have hits at all. It was simply a spotlight on the mistake of actors thinking they could make albums.
