DESCRIPTION: Michael Parkinson, or "Parky" as he is familiarly known, began as a journalist on local newspapers in his natal Yorkshire [UK], until he moved into television in the 1960. In a list of the 100 Greatest British Television Programmes drawn up by the British Film Institute in 2000, voted for by industry professionals, "PARKINSON" was placed 8th. Lynda second and last appearance on the show. She performs two live songs: "RUNAWAY" and "THE LAST SONG".
