A galaxy of top TV and movie stars spent three fun-filled days together taping their special acts for the "Second Annual Circus of the Stars."

For several weeks, stars like Robert Conrad, Lynda ("Wonder Woman") Carter, Lee Meriwether of "Barnaby Jones" and Lucie Arnaz had been secretly rehearsing to perfect their circus routines.

They came into the ring riding horses and elephants, or leading other animals including camels, Brahman bulls and bears. Then the big show began, with the acts introduced by ringmasters Lucille Ball, Cindy Williams, Michael York and Telly Savalas.

Muscular Bob Conrad thrilled the crowd with his wire-balancing act; lovely Lynda Carter rode a circus horse; while actor Tony Lo Bianco climbed into the cage with a leopard and put the big cat
through his paces just like a professional trainer.

A sensational trapeze act was performed by Mary Ann Mobley and her husband, Gary Collins. Earl Holliman dazzled the crowd with a magic act, and funnyman Marty Allen drew roars of laughter with his hysterically funny chimpanzee act.

The result is a star-spangled TV special that will air in December.
