LYNDA CARTER: Almost beamed!
Lynda Carter, TV’s “Wonder Woman,” is one of Las Vegas’ hottest new acts, and she almost had a disaster in her stage show there by being “beamed” with a laser!
Lynda Carter didn't go to Las Vegas unprepared-the critics say it was one of the best thought-out and produced shows to come around in along time! She spent a lot of time and money planning her clothes, her songs, the entire staging of her Vegas act, and it paid off! Show-goers there just loved her! Part of Lynda's production called for laser lights to beam across the theater and create spectacular effects. They're very popular in rock and other shows-but since the light is very powerful (it's even used in delicate surgery as a rutting tool!), it's very dangerous, too! But one night, those laser beams nearly caused a disaster! Lynda wandered tob close to one of the laser's beams-and might've ruined her eyesight if the beam had hit her eyes! But a technician on the show shut the beam down just in time! Quick-thinking- - and Lynda was very grateful indeed!
