Wonder
Woman Lynda Carter and her manager-hubby Ron Samuels have one of the
few 14 karat marriages in Hollywood. |
|
Though Ron manages his wife's "act," the couple say that what keeps
their marriage golden is its equality. |
|
"It's very important to Ron and me that we were both successful all by
ourselves before we got together," says Lynda. |
|
Both believe in their intense career involvement. Besides Wonder
Woman, Lynda has a contract with Epic Records and Las Vegas bookings,
and Ron, of course, manages Lindsay Wagner and Jaclyn Smith in
addition to Lynda. |
|
But success does stand in the way of their being together. As Ron
says, "We only talk for about an hour at the end of the day. There are
so many things we want to talk about!" And, since Ron is her manager,
one of the major things the couple talks about is Lynda's career.
According to Lynda: "When problems arise in my work we discuss them,
but since he's the person I care for more than any other in the world,
it feels wrong to place him in the category of manager." |
|
Lynda and Ron can cope with success because they both have'it, and,
because of their mutual respect and admiration for each other, their
relationship can't be thrown off balance. Says Ron, "We want to keep
growing together. We want our careers to continue to grow, and we want
to be healthy and happy!" |
