In the quiet suburban community of Crystal Lake, a strange power affects a selected few in the town. For instance, a man notices an odd shiny object in the distance. He jogs closer to it and discovers a very smooth, metallic looking object, the size of a fist and shaped like a solid equilateral triangle. As he nears the object, he notices that it is actually the sunlight reflecting off the four flat sides that causes the dazzling reflection. He picks it up to examine it closely, but when he tries to put it down he cannot let go. It sticks to his hand. Suddenly, it glows ominously. His expression becomes strangely placid, yet inside the tetrahedron his face appears -it is silent, but seems to cry out in both fear and wonder. The object stops glowing. He is now able to remove the object from his hand and he places it in his pocket. Athough much less energetic than before, he starts to walk away.

Meanwhile, Cameron is ordered by the doctor to look for and catch a small white mouse that apparently is upsetting Jaffe. It is an unusual response from a man of Jaffe's caliber. Cameron finally gives up and returns to the office. As he shuts the door, the mouse seems to glow and then turns into an exact duplicate of Cameron. The new "Cameron" carefully watches the doctor and Diana as they finish their conversation. Diana now checks out with Steve Trevor (LYLE WAGGONER) at IADC headquarters and heads for Crystal Lake. Upon arriving there, she opens the briefcase while sitting in a restaurant. "Cameron" surprises her when he appears at the table.

In Washington, D.C., IADC Agent Diana Prince (LYNDA CARTER) meets with Dr. Eli Jaffe (BERT REMSEN), a noted astronomer and researcher in extraterrestrial life signs. He is unusually agitated during their encounter. Dr. Jaffe is one of five men in the country who can issue orders directly to IADC agents. He assigas Diana to investigate Crystal Lake. However, his instructions are rather sketchy and his description of the events in Crystal Lake are very ambiguous. Even the doctor's assistant, Cameron (MICHAEL SHANNON) knows very little about the incidents. Dr. Jaffe hands her a briefcase but instructs her not to open it until she arrives in Crystal Lake. When she asks what she is looking for, Dr. Jaffe merely replies, 'You'll know when you find it."

Some of the other residents of Crystal Lake are also taking on placid characteristics. In a startling chain of events, a young boy, Skip Keller (CLARK BRANDON) witnesses both his parents transformation into aliens. Soon Skip realizes that it is happening to many of the people in Crystal Lake. He is particularly alarmed when his best friend, Pete tries to force a tetrahedron into his hand. Skip, trying to win the friendship of a female classmate, Melanie (LENORA MAY), decides to meet her for an afternoon of horseback riding. Unfortunately, Skip knows nothing about riding horses. Mel is an expert.

Meanwhile, on the other side of the woods, Diana spies a glistening object. As she approaches it, she sees a man approach. He looks at the tetrahetron and then places it into the sack that he carries. Diana now calls to him. When he sees her coming, he starts to run pell-mell across the field and through the woods. The rustling in the bushes startles Skip's horse, which now gallops out of control across the field. Diana whirls into Wonder Woman to continue her pursuits. When she emerges from the woods, she sees Skip on board the wild horse. Immediately she abandons her pursuit to help him. She shows the horse and sends it back to the stable with Skip. In the course of her investigation, Diana befriends Skip. It seems that all of the people who Skip knows have become one of "them", so he turns his trust toward Diana Prince.

Diana finds a tetrahedron in her motel room. She reaches out to touch it and it begins to glow, draining Diana Prince into it. Skip arrives just in time to save her. Together, they realize that the tetrahedrons steal the real person and transplant an alien body. Cameron now appears and tries to take the tetrahedron, but Skip carefully wraps it in a kerchief and places it in his knapsack.

He flees the room. Skip races to the stable, but he is too late to save Mel, for Pete has given her a tetrahedron and she is now transformed.

On a hunch, Diana and Cameron look for Skip at the stables. Diana's guess pays off as they find Skip there. But "Cameron" is uneasy and anxious to leave. Pete and his friends try to force Skip to take a tetrahedron, but their efforts are interrupted by Diana and Cameron. The kids scatteras Diana and Cameron go off in separate directions in pursuit. Diana insists that Skip wait alone, but he doesn't. Instead, he follows her. As she thinks that no one is near, she whirls into Wonder Woman. Skip's mouth drops and his eyes open wide as he witnesses the dynamic transformation of Diana Prince into Wonder Woman.
