“I’m
recently divorced and moved to Seattle with my two daughters, and
my daughter becomes friends with the popular, thin girl, and she
becomes bulimic with her, so this is their secret………the movie was
so compelling to me when I read the script because it’s not a
disease of the week movie, it doesn’t deal with just the ravages
of anorexia, although it does show that, but it’s a lot about the
relationship between the mother and the daughter, and how the
healing processes, what really happens, how the family falls
apart, and how helpless the mother feels in dealing with this
child that’s starving herself, is killing herself, day by day. I
can’t say enough about this movie in terms of the things." |
