Gortner
has had an almost incredible life. At the age of seven he was an
evangelist, speaking with power that won untold millions of
listeners and followers. Later he experimented with a variety of
occupations, always broadening his outlook. He even worked as a
convention pitchman, a carnival barker and in several kinds of
selling before finding his true career - acting.
