ple say that this time it may be different. He is very hot on Victoria." one friend told GLOBE. "They spent a lot of time together in the weeks before she resumed filming on Dallas.

     WONDER WOMAN Lynda Carter has admitted that her five-year marriage to her manager Ron Samuels is on the rocks. And friends say that his interest in new client Victoria Principal is partly to blame.

     "We are separated." Lynda confessed in a candid interview in Las Vegas. where she is starring at the MGM Grand Hotel.

     "We have not yet filed for divorce. but the decision to separate was very painful for me and I made it prayerfully." adds Lynda. 30, who became a born-again Christian 18 months ago.

     "Now 1'm looking to the Bible for guidance and comfort." While Lynda was performing in Vegas. Samuels was hack in Los Angeles. working hard on the career of Dallas star Victoria. who has just signed with him.

     "We have problems like any other couple." he admitted to GLOBE. "There have been a lot of rumors. But whatever the complications are. I don't want to say anything at this stage that will fuel the fires.

     "It's very important now that outside things not affect our relationship." Lynda also refused to discuss the reasons for the breakup "This separation is very person-al and very painful. and I can't discuss the intimate details." she says.

     In the past. Lynda has never objected to the time Samuels spent with his beautiful clients. including Bionic Woman Lind-say Wagner, Charlie's Angel Jackie Smith and Joyce DeWitt of Three's Company.

     But sources close to the couHis dedication to her may have caused the rift between him and Lynda. And there are indications that it may become permanent."

     Samuels cannot disguise his enthusiasm for his sultry new client. She has a huge career ahead of her." he says. "Even beyond Dallas.

     "-We are hard at work together developing new productions for her." In the past. Samuels has admitted to friends that he and Lynda had to deal with problems of sexual and professional jealousy. He called rumors linking him romantically with Lind-say Wagner "ridiculous" but confessed that "juggling the egos of two TV ladies is difficult."

     Both Samuels and Lynda have said that starting a family was ahigh priority in their marriage and friends believe that may have contributed to the problems between them.

     "I'd love to get pregnant tomorrow." Lynda said recently.

     "But that would mean taking three months off before the birth and three months after.

     "I must carry on with my career. It would be a big mistake to stop now that I'm making it. If I were to give all I want to this marriage, there would he no room for my career at all. And Ron knows I'm not really happy unless m working."

     The couple plan to continue their professional relationship. He is presently putting the finishing touches to a TV biography of Rita Hayworth that Lynda filmed last year and he is also planning a new TV special for her.

     Lynda says: "Ron is wonderful man. Every night on stage I thank him for all he has done for me. I think the world of him."
