Lynda Carter's turned in her Wonder Worn-an suit for a glamorous role as big city photographerturned-super sleuth. Carole Stanwyck. in NBC-TV's Partner's In Crime. Lynda admits that the change s welcome: "I didn't want to do another action adventure series—this is a witty, classy comedy/drama in The Thin Man tradition. Rather than using muscles, my partner (Loni Anderson) and I solve crimes through our charm, wit, beauty—and luck."

Because this beautiful brunette is estatuesque, carrying off the show's sophisticated clothes is  never a problem. But off-camera, Lynda prefers a more casual, comfortable approach to dressing: 'I was born in the Southwest, so I really don't have a lot in common with Carole's wealthy debunte upbringing and cosmopolitan lifestyle.

"Simple shapes, bold solid colors (never prints)—blue, green, turquoise, fuchsia—often over black, are my choices. And pants are a basic for me, because I'm always traveling." says Lynda, whose recent marriage to a Washington lawyer means plenty of cross-country flights.

She counts her height as a ma-or asset, enjoys the luxury of being able to wear both short and long skirts, big and slim silhouettes. Square-shouldered jackets, thick-knit cardigan sweaters are her picks for versatility—real wardrobe-stretchers, they're "great for really making some-thing of a pair of pants or skirt and a simple man-styled shirt."

"My advice to anyone who's taller than average? Stay away from the trendiest styles. Actually." she adds. that applies to everyone."
