Most
people know her from the series "Wonder Woman," but chances are that
soon we'll be hearing even more of her over the radio and on record.
We're talking about' former Miss U.S.A. Lynda Carter, who's gone full
circle back to the career she started in—singing. These days, though,
instead of vocalizing at a pizza parlor in Tempe, Arizona, Lynda's
lighting up, the stages of Las Vegas and Denver, warming up for a major
tour to pro-mote her debut album. The response to her first Las Ve-gas
engagement unanimously indicates that whether she's high-stepping with
her two backup dancers, crooning the tune "Eli's Coming" from a cloud of
lasers and smoke, or singing "Toto," her sensational single release,
Lynda has mastered the knack of charming an audience. Obvious talent
matched with a rare, on-stage warmth is pointing the 25-year-old right
to the top. She might be a star already, but she's going to be an even
bigger one. |
