Three
years of getting up at 4:30 a. m. for her Wonder Woman TV series may
have prepared Lynda Carter, 37, for the sleep deprivation of motherhood.
But in real life, "Wonder Woman" doesn't want a wonder boy. "I don't
want him to be a superkid, knowing three languages at age 6," says
Carter, who lives in Potomac, Maryland, with her husband, lawyer Robert
Altman. "I want him to have fun and be a little kid and have exposure to
everything. I want to keep him active in a lot of sports, get him
involved with teams, so he can learn a sense of striving, accomplishment
and joy. " Though Carter still acts (this month she costars with Stacy
Keach in TV's Mickey Spillane's Mike Hammer: Murder Takes All), this
mom believes staying at home is important too. "I'm the only constant in
his life," says Carter, who plans to have more children. "I'm really
happy with this little guy. It's sort of a falling-inlove experience.
Sometimes I wonder, `What have I done to deserve this?" |
