"I have played in many TV shows but there's no doubt that I became famous thanks to my character Major Steve Trevor on Wonder Woman. The funny thing is the reactions of the critics who think that my character it's kind of a victim of feminism, since it's always in danger or in problem he can't solve waiting for Wonder Woman to appear. The truth is that most of the time is like that, but if we were all the time the strong sex, protectors of those weak creatures, it's time for them to take the lead."

These are words of Lyle Waggoner, with a big smile and a sense of humor. In person he seems even taller than what he looks on screen. He's 6'4" and 160 lbs and a 42 inch. chest, he coul be Superman or any other comics superhero, but Lynda Carter's presence in the series with 5' 8¼'' and 38-25-35 left him in the background but he doesn't seem to care.

He tells about his life and career: "I was born in Kansas on April 13, 1935 but I grew up in Kirkwood, a neighborhood in St. Louis. At the University I was good in Literature, history and atletics. I was really good in high jump and hurdles. Then I did everything... For seven years I was a door-to-door salesman... Then I took acting classes and I dreamt of becoming an actor. Between 1954 and 1956 I enlisted on the Army as a Army Signal Corps. operator. My uniform was very different to that of Major Trevor. Then I made all kind of jobs until I moved to Hollywood. A lot of things happened there. I got a contract with 20th Century Fox and I made my debut on "New Talent Development". then I got a lot of offers and in 1967 I began on teh famous "Carol Burnett Show" until 1974. It was 7 years during which I also made a lot of stage plays like the "The Cat And The Owl", "Boeing-Boeing", "The House Of tea Of The August Moon", "Don't Send Me Flowers" and "Born Yesterday".  I also had appearances on "Sonny and Cher", "Dinah Shore", "Marcus Welby"... I've been lucky... And it was teh same in my personal life when I got married in 1967 with Sharon Kennedy whom I met in a beauty contest. She gave me two sons, Jason and Beau justin who are now 9 and 7 years old. They're both Wonder Woman fans and they don't care who's solving the problems... I want to tell you that Lynda is a wonderful lady and pay no attention when they say there's a romance between us. She's very happy with her husband Ron Samuels and I with my lovely Sharon.
