In the world of TV it has always been the same. When there's a success, the many producers and networks go over the idea and squeeze till teh last drop. And now women are in fashion. But not any kind of woman. They must be essentially beautiful and be ready to take on the most dangerous adventures. Perhaps it was Angie Dickinson who paved the way with "Police Woman." Though Earl Holliman was co-starring, it was the first time that a woman became the center of an action series beginning from the title. Before the hero, superagent or sperspy was a leading man. Now it's the women's invasion. Angie was followed by Lindsay Wagner as "The Bionic Woman." And then the popular trio of Farrah Fawcett-Majors, Kate Jackson and Jaclyn Smith as the "Charlie's Angels." Then it came "Wonder Woman", with Lynda Carter, "Miss World U.S.A." 1972, and a finalist in the "Miss World" contest. All this only in the season 1976-77. And given the collective and singular success of these spectacular, beauty and brave women, we should expect the proliferation of this kind of program for the coming season.

On these pages we include some of the ads anticipating the continuity of this trend... "Cover Girls" is played bytwo beautiful women, Cornelia Sharpe and Jayne Kennedy, who are willing to compete with the angels. It's teh story of two beautiful and young models who work as undercover agents. "The Feather and Father" has Stefanie Power on the lead as a lawyer-detective who gets involved in the most dangerous cases. "The Nancy Drew Mysteries"is based on a series of novels about a bold young girl. Pamela Sue Martin stars and the pilot has already been shot: "Mystery on Diamond Triangle." When she's flying flying on a glider she sees a car falling off a cliff, but she's comes down the car is gone. Sort of a "Bermudas Triangle" but on firm land. Another series with an important female prominence is "Cat And Dog." Kim Basinger is the "cat", a sophisticated private eye, and Lou Antoniuo is teh "dog," a vet cop. Together they will solve many cases... that's if the audience gives them a positive answer. Another title of the new season is "Blansky's Beauties,"  which reminds of "Charlie's Angels."Blansky is teh manager and adoptive mother of 10 beautiful Vegas girls. The star of the group is charming Roz Kelly who plays Pinky Tuscadero, and Blansky is played by a famous and mature actress of the American TV: Nancy Walker. And now they're announcing more series of this kind and even when the lead is a man, they are always backed by a bold beauty, like Robert Stack on "Most Wanted" who counts with the help of Jo-Ann Harris, or James Franciscus in "Hunter" with another police-beauty, Linda Evans. Proves clearly show it's a femine invasion, which is an irrefutable fact and certainly a very pleasing one. The masculine audience is greatful, and the femine audience could feel identified with the addedf avlues and beauty of so many heroines.
