Lynda Carter's wedding was just about everything a woman could possibly want. The month was ay. The sun Was shining. Friends that included "angel" Jaclyn Smith and her maybe bridegroom-to-be Dennis Cole were gathered in the flower bedecked garden tucked away in the lush hills of Hollywood. 25-year-old Lynda and 34-year-old Ron Samuels said their "I Do's"... and then the new Mrs. happily shocked all by picking up her new husband in her arms and carrying him around the grounds!

Surprising? Well, maybe just a wee bit. After all, even in a place as exciting as Tinseltown, it's not every day that a bride gets to carry her groom over the threshold of their new marriage! But then, Lynda Carter is no ordinary woman.

"In high school," says the six foot beauty, "I was too tall to be in the pep squad, too tall for a boy to feel comfortable with me on a date, and too  tall to feel at ease anywhere. Everybody used to tell me, sympathetically, I guess, 'Don't worry, you've got what it takes-talent. You'll make it.' Nobody showed me how until someone, I forget who, said, 'study.' So I took up music and singing. And did fairly well, we might add. Lynda left her hometown of Phoenix, Arizona, and toured with a few different

rock groups as a singer. As anyone, in "The Biz" can tell you, touring isn't" exactly anyone's idea of heaven! It's a grueling succession of one night stands in tiny. towns. A lot of traveling. Little recognition. Much fatigue and frustration. And, not all that much chance of real success.

So, even though she was constantly working, Lynda headed home to Phoenix .. . and entered a beauty contest which landed her first prize ... and an eventual trip to Hollywood.

But, even three years on the road as a singer could hardly prepare Lynda for what was awaiting her in California. The competition is incredible. There are a hundred talented people all vying for the same part. Everyone is beautiful Everyone  seems to have a gorgeous body. It's virtually impossible for everyone to make it.

Unless they have something extra special, that is. And, Lynda did. The very thing that made her so unhappy in high school was what helped her gain recognition-her height! With the idea for the Wonder Woman series brewing, what could have been more perfect than having our 6 foot heroine -try out for the part!

The rest is history ... and a TV success. While Lynda whirled her curves to become the Amazon trying to save the world, millions of viewers stayed glued to their seats cheering her on. When the network she was on had trouble finding a time slot for the next season, Wonder Woman was grabbed up by CBS. And, while all this wonderful stuff was happening to Ms. Carter .. something even more wonderful happened to her. She fell in love with Ron Samuels, the guy who's none other than Bionic Woman Lindsay Wagner's manager!

Ron and Lynda dated. Realized they wanted to be together forever. Decided to get married. So they wed ... and she carried him over the threshold of their new be ginning their "wonder marriage." W e Wish them joy and happiness ... and, eventually, a home filed with lots of little "wonder children!"
