This was the year of the Woman Hero. Viewers saw the debut of "Charlie's Angels," which made Farrah Fawcett-Majors a star and saw her pinup poster tacked on the walls of every self-respecting teenaged suburban boy. Lynda Carter leaped onto the little screen as "Wonder Woman," television's first feminist superheroine. A heroine of another sort was introduced by Norman Lear in "Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman," a hysterical spoof of soap operas starring Woody Allen's ex-spouse, Louise Lasser.
