Born
on July 24, 1951 in Phoenix, Arizona. The most gorgeous Amazon of all,
Lynda won the Miss USA title in 1972, her 5 ft-11, 37 1/2 vital
statistics and brunette beauty providing unquestionable
credentials-which were displayed in full in the 1976 movie "Bobbie Jo
and the Outlaw" with her only filmed topless scenes. She made her TV
movie debut in 1975 as "The New, Original Wonder Woman" before taking
over the Wonder Woman role on ABC (1976-77) and then CBS (1977-79),
filling out the heroine's star-spangled swimsuit and breastplates like
few others could. Her 1978 pin-up poster was a million-selling
competitor to Farrah Fawcett's. |
Lynda had the unenviable task of portraying a glamour immortal in the
1983 telefilm "Rita Hayworth: The Love Goddess"; teamed with fellow
bombshell Loni Anderson in the 1984 series "Partners In Crime"; and did
several 1980s TV specials showcasing her musical/variety talents. While
starring in the 1991 telefilm "I Posed for Playboy," she endured her
attorney husband Robert Altman's prolonged legal battle in the BCCI
banking scandal, and in 18th-century garb did the 1994-95 syndicated
series "Hawkeye." |
